Relatively affordable, quick and delicious unagi.
Unagi is usually pretty pricey. This shop serves delicious and affordable unagi, and is mostly a takeaway style shop. They do have some seating, somewhere. I’m not sure how that works though. I think you can just ask to dine in.
I just got done with a workout and was really craving unagi. This shop was exactly what I was looking for.
Their bento prices when I visited the shop were as follows:
Unagi Bento without rice ¥3,000
Unagi Bento with rice ¥3,300
They normally have other options as well but, I think they were only serving bentos today.

Read moreUpdate. Returned for a late lunch. The service was fast. The take-out menu only has a few choices. I ordered the mid-range. The unagi was pretty good. The skinside wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, but it also wasn't chewy. There seemed to be a lot of fat under the skin, which made the unagi creamier. It was nice. The pickles were too salty, and there wasn't enough rice. Overall, it was tasty.
Went on a weekday for a late lunch. I ordered the large eel bento. I didn't eat it right away, but it was still really good. I'll go back and eat in and see if that...
Read moreI had the eel’s liver and unseasoned eel, or I shall say supper fatty eel. Both were excellent!
As expected, liver has an astringent flavour; chewy part mingle with soft, creamy part. I thought such sharp flavour would overpower the fish, but it didn’t at all! The eel actually helps balance out aftertaste of liver, yet still be able to taste the fish. I like that they provide you another way to eat eels, wasabi with salt or wasabi with soy sauce. Although I’m not sure these are the best way...
