Cute cafe. Small with only four tables. Lots of books which you can peruse and retro crockery. The scone flavours are seasonal (currently, it's chai). It's more of an American style scone. Crispy outside and flavourful with hints of coconut. Nice place to rest for a while.

Highly recommended. Teshima no Mado has the most fantastic cozy atmosphere with some of the most delicious breads and cakes I have had anywhere. I wish I could have spent more time there - it was honestly one of the most memorable places I visited this trip!

We waited for the cafe to open at the advertised 10am but it didn’t. When we asked the owner she said she had decided to open at 1030. So we had wasted time waiting. She also wasn’t welcoming or apologetic. Big thumbs down.

Highly recommended. Teshima no Mado has the most fantastic cozy atmosphere with some of the most delicious breads and cakes I have had anywhere. I wish I could have spent more time there - it was honestly one of the most memorable places I visited this trip!

WORST SERVICE EVER - the owner was unkind in the first place when explaining the menu or taking the order, then threw coins in my hand when I paid. When I asked if there were some tissues she said they ‘didn’t have any’ and asked me to instead use the one she gave me. WHAT KIND OF CAFE DOESNT EVEN HAVE A TISSUE? Seemed her insecurities exploded the moment she saw me but in a word, JUST DON’T GO THERE. A typical, common touristy place as it’s the one of the few cafes...

Wandered into this cafe on a hot day while exploring the art on Teshima. A small menu of dishes made from local ingredients. On the day of my visit there were not many vegetarian options but some excellent baked goods made on site. A cozy quirky space like a club library from a hundred years ago. Lots of wood...
