I was surprised by how large it was inside. From using the coin laundry I thought this space was smaller. The food was good. The curries all start not spicy hot, and you can choose your hot spice level. My hand is in the photo for scale so you can see they use decent sized dishes, and the nan is large. Both of my curries had plenty of chicken, no disappointment. The butter chicken is not the flavor of most things called butter chicken in the USA. My friend that lived in India says it's butter chicken. So if you've only had USA type this has a sweeter coconut milk flavor. BONUS market in back has a large section of spices, whole and ground, and a large section of dried lentils / peas / beans. So if you want those things this is a good place to shop. AMAZING FIND I have never found liquid type heartburn medicine in Japan. This medicine is similar to USA Mylanta or UK Gaviscon. They only had 2 bottles, and now they only have 1 bottle. 😁 I hope it works like Pepto Bismol (same color, smells like peppermint) to coat my throat and neutralize acid when I have acid reflux wake me up. So if you or someone you know has been looking for a Pepto type product make sure you stop here. If they are out and you ask for it, hopefully they...
Read moreAfter many days, I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant and indulge in some Tandoori Roti. Typically, when visiting an Indian restaurant in Japan, one expects to find Naan bread. However, this restaurant offers a variety of Roti and curry options. This time, I ordered a set meal which included the main dish, salad, soup, and as always, Mango Lassi for my drink. The taste was fantastic, and the level of spiciness could be adjusted according to personal preference. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Additionally, they have an Indian spices shop where you can purchase various Indian spices, meats, and other products, making it super convenient for those interested in...
Read moreMy single favorite Indian restaurant--point blank.
The food is exceptional, consistent, and well-priced. To be perfectly frank, I don't know how they make enough of a profit off of their take-out menu--the value you get for what you pay is too high 🤣
On top of the stellar food and service, they have a specialty shop INSIDE the restaurant where you can buy legitimate Indian ingredients.
I've recently been able to cook kitchari for the first time in 3 years because they recently added high-quality Cow's Ghee to...
