Ramen Yokozuna Toyoyama shop — Restaurant in Toyoyama

I tried this ramen place randomly during lunch break and it suddenly become my go-to place when I crave for Ramen. The place have booth for solo eater and normal table & traditional table for groups. I always come here for the chashuumen (ramen with pork cutlet) and occasionally the karaage. Both are reasonably priced (Chashuumen is 850 yen and karaage is 420 yen for 5 pieces) but I have to say the pork slice that they give in the chashuumen are really generous. Usually, when I eat ramen, I have to leave the meat for later since I am the 'save-best-for-last' but here, I can just heartily eat the meat along with the noodles since they give a plenty of them. As for the taste, I cannot say much due to my limited palate but both are to my likings.

ラーメンと餃子を頼みましたが、すべてにおいて「普通」と言った感じ。別に不味くはないですが、美味いと言うほどでもない。正直、ラーメンは自分で作るサッポロ一番(みそ旨辛)の方が美味い(笑)。特にスープは旨味より塩辛さが強く、飲み干したい衝動に駆られない。麺も細い割りにはスープに絡んで来ないし、けっこう固めで好みが別れる。餃子も皮が厚くてクニャクニャした食感で温度もぬるい。もう少し皮はパリッと焼いて熱々にして出して欲しい。ライスも表面が固めでパサついている。

全体的にバイトの子たちがマニュアル通りに作っている素人料理といったレベル。店員さんの接客態度も普通。特別、愛想が良い訳でも悪い訳でもない。客層はガラの悪い印象の人がチラホラいる割りには話し声などがうるさい訳でもなく、見た目ほど雰囲気は悪くは無かった。

ただ、今回、初めて入りましたが、かなり混雑して盛況の割には料理のレベルは期待ハズレでした。ラーメンはスープが塩辛く麺とも絡み合っておらず、100点満点で採点すると60点も行かないくらい。餃子は皮がパリッとしておらず味もイマイチ。これなら冷凍餃子を家で焼いた方が美味いくらい。40点。あえてまた食べに来たいと...
