I waited a long time to try this ramen and had some time today. Sanjo is known for oily ramen and I had some friends recommended me this place. There was a line up before the store opened! It really shows it's a popular choice of ramen. It's an open style of dining. For example if you eat by yourself you might be sharing the table with other people. Get your own water. Staff is friendly and down to earth. The noodles looked handmade because they were all different shapes. The broth was oily and there were some bamboo shoots and chopped onions. Bottom line is that it was delicious! I would come back here and...

Great Ramen for a reasonable price! Soy based fish broth soup with lard, combined with mid-width wavy noodles was definitely a Niigata specialty Ramen.

Nice people, and sufficient parking.

It's somewhere I would like to go to after COVID, but...

My first noodle experience in Japan! I got the “golden order” noodles, rice and dumplings/gyoza. The food was very tasty. Soup is greasy, but to my liking. They use thick noodles not the traditional thin ramen noodles (I would compare it to Taiwanese noodle in beef noodle soup). Gyozas were very big (8cm/3in long) and fried to perfection. Fried rice was very flavorful. Mix the soup and rice and you have another dish you can savor. If you’re a yank like me, be aware no noodle refills! This place is famous...
