Refranc — Restaurant in Tsukuba

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Tsukuba, perhaps in all of Ibaraki. No matter what dish you order, from appetizers to dessert, you won’t be disappointed. The quiche is especially exquisite—nothing like any other quiche I’ve tasted before (likely because the chef also had experience as a patisserie chef).

(This is also one of the only places I’ve encountered since living in Japan that sells proper biscotti.)

Lunch lands in the ¥1,0002,000 range. Dinner, a light meal would be around ¥1,500, but on average ¥2,000¥4,000 (depending on drinks).

I don’t drink alcohol, however when other customers order a drink, they’re always pleased with the suggested pairings.

The parking is a little confusing. There are a couple of spots in front of the restaurant, marked by a piece of rope in the ground. There’s additional parking on the order side of the brown (slightly broken) fence, next to a day...

店長はソムリエ資格もお持ちで自分の好みの味を伝えるとそれにあったワインを見繕ってくれます。ワインリストもさることながら、奥様が作られる料理もとても美味しくて、お酒も飲みたいけれど美味しいものもしっかり食べたいという時にいつもお邪魔しています。
