Affordable vs. quantity. Huge number of choices (perusing the menu can be quite an exercise if you are really hungry)....both north and south indian dishes, snacks/chaat dishes, sweets, etc. Many options for vegetarians. Nice sitting space both inside and outside the restaurant. I went with friends who opined that the naan was larger and crispier than what gets usually served in other places. My south Indian vegetarian thali was unexpectedly large for one person needing a takeout that lasted over two meals. Great variety though. Two paneer-based curries, rasam, sambhar, poriyal, a sweet, paapad, and a batura...with second helping of basmati rice. Wish they could make a miniaturised version with same dishes but smaller portion sizes with lower price for customers with normal appetites. Alcoholic drinks tad more expensive than they need to be. Take out set-menus (naan/rice + preset curry) very reasonably priced.

Be careful with this restaurant; IT’S VERY ADDICTIVE!!!!🥰 This place is my favorite restaurant in Tsukuba; the food is sooooo damn good. It’s very difficult to find a good South Indian restaurant in Japan and this place rocks. They’ve got very good Dosa, thali and much more. The buriyani is pretty great too. In addition to the food, the restaurant is very clean; specially the toilets. The place is very spacious. For parking, we use the Doho car park; which is relatively cheap and spacious. While I write this review; I’m thinking when I am going to go there again…

First time here after becoming Taj Mahal. Basically the same layout as the previous Italian place. Parking can be tight, but doable. All the way down the alley, this restaurant is quite good. The curry and Nan were as I liked. While I was there, an event was happening, so the staff were preoccupied. So, that could have been better, but overall, the staff were friendly.

If you're looking for flavours outside of the same options you find at 90% of Indian restaurants in Japan, this place is a great choice.

As well as your usual favourites (butter chicken, chicken tikka, keema etc.) there are a number of South Indian breads, curries, and even some desert which you won't find at other Indian places. The usual rice or nan sets with refills are here as well so it's the best of both worlds: what you always get from an Indian restaurant as well as a more expansive and unique menu.

The decor is also quite trendy (おしゃれ) though the tables and chairs are what you would normally expect from an Indian restaurant in Japan.

All in all, a great choice if hungry for...
