Kappa Sushi — Restaurant in Uji

A bit of a letdown, unfortunately. When I first arrived around 6 PM, the food came out promptly, but as the place got busier, the waiting time increased significantly — my orders started arriving every 20 minutes. It really took away from the experience, and I didn’t feel like ordering more since I didn’t want to wait again.

That said, one of the staff members was very helpful, and I really appreciated his assistance when I thought my order had been missed.

In terms of quality, Kappa Sushi wasn’t the best I’ve had — the sushi was on the lower end — but it did satisfy my craving that day. For the price, I didn’t mind too much. Still, if you're after better quality at a similarly affordable price, I’d definitely recommend...

We came here accidentally. It was a wonderful surprise. Our first sushi in Japan, better than every sushi we’ve ever eaten. We received a warm welcome and the waitress was so kind, even though we don’t speak Japanese (I understand some basics) she takes her time to hear our requests. Not crowded.
