Unforgettable Kyoto Experience at Charming Shop House Hotel!🍵

This hidden gem in Uji City 🇯🇵 is not your typical hotel! Housed in a beautifully converted 100-year-old shop house, it offers a truly authentic Kyoto experience unlike any other.

What Makes it Special: Unique Charm: Imagine staying in a piece of history! The shop house's charming transformation creates a quaint and intimate atmosphere, with only 11 rooms.

Perfect Location: Nestled in the heart of Oji City, you're just steps away from the award-winning Ancient Tea companies. Perfect for immersing yourself in Kyoto's rich matcha tradition, the birthplace of this iconic green tea.

Authentic Japanese Experience: Forget cookie-cutter hotels! This place goes above and beyond with rooms featuring traditional tatami mat floors and authentic Japanese Kyoto furnishings. It's a true step back in time!

Amazing Owner: The owner's positive energy and dedication to creating an exceptional stay for guests truly shine. They even offer unique prayer beads bracelets - a special memento of your experience I was lucky enough to purchase!

Overall: If you're seeking an authentic and unforgettable experience in Kyoto, look no further! This charming shop house hotel ticks all the boxes. It's perfect for anyone wanting to escape the ordinary and immerse themselves in the magic of Kyoto.

Highly Recommend!

Sincerely ~...

Beautiful historic house with a lovely traditional garden. Specious common area with a full kitchen (range, microwave, large fridge, dish dryer. Complementary Green Tea & Coffee (yes, they do have single serve milk/cream pods and sugar for those of you who need it :-)) Spotless shower, toilet and bathroom areas. Stay comes with bath towel and a face towel. Four WiFi routers to connect to with plenty of outlets for all your electronics :-) Electronic access front door for 24hr access along with a room key. Tatami mats in rooms, hardwood floor in common areas. Japanese footon (firm) with duvet cover on top (very fluffy and cozy). One pillow, best for back sleepers. For Winter: heater in each room. For Summer: washi paper screens on windows so one can air out the room yet maintain privacy. Shower has both a body wash and shampoo inside. Everything one needs in a truly lovely house. The property is right next to a small temple; very suitable for a morning contemplation before setting out for the next leg of your journey. I highly recommend staying at...

Best tea inn ever with authentic Japanese experience! The row of 100 years old tea houses tell you that you are staying in a historically rich place in Japan and truly provides you with such an experience too. The owner is friendly and the house is amazingly clean and cosy. I have doubts to book it at first as it reminds me of the horror movies i watch on old japanese houses. BUT I am so thankful I made the choice because this place is truly a gem. There is also a famous Morihan 100+ years old tea house just a stone throw away and also very near to the Nintendo Museum. There is no convenient stores around but a mega supermarket and drug store just 5mins walk. You may also get to talk to other guests if you chill at the dining area. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back...
