I was looking for a place to eat breakfast before visiting the Manpuku-ji temple and I found this cafe near Ōbaku station.
I was the only one there at around 10am, and I was warmly greeted by the staff. The place looked lovely with lots of Hawaiian themed decorations. The staff then gave me the option of an English or Japanese menu, so there are options if you do not speak the language (I took the Japanese menu to practice).
I ordered the マラサダドーナツセット with a カフェオレ. I enjoyed my mean, and it's a good portion for an excellent price. I also really enjoyed the coffee; it was a perfect start to my busy day. However, the best of it all was the donut.
I don't eat donuts often, but these were simply incredible. So smooth, soft, filling, sweet, simply delicious! It is probably one of the best I've ever had. I loved it so much I had to get another one to go. After visiting the temples, I had to stop back again and get a few more to share with my friends. I couldn't keep this to myself! Unfortunately, they sold out, which is totally understandable since they are just that good.
