Very disappointing experience coming from a country who has been nothing bit gracious to us. I had this restaurant saved for when we arrived in Okinawa for our last part of our 21 day Japan trip. My husband & I travel a lot all over the world & this is the first time we were discriminates against.
There were 3 locals ahead of us in line to get into the half empty restaurant. Eager to be seated knowing theres plenty of room. The hostess seated them immediately however when it came to us she said “no more room”. I said that we has no trouble to wait a bit, that we were looking forward to eat their delicious food. She’s still refused us so we stepped out.
Disappointed, i was trying to look up another restaurant to go to & while i was doing that, 2 other locals came in, to which the hostess fingered “2 people, come!”, seating them right away.
