Cat Cafe Nekonomichikusa — Restaurant in Wakayama

One of the best cat cafes I've been to in Japan. I'm an American living and working in Japan and I love this cat cafe.

The cats are very friendly even in the morning. If you sit on the ground, a lot of them will come right up to you and let you pet or hold them. It's ¥1000 for an hour which is standard in my opinion, but since the cats are so interactive, I think it was really worth it.

I enjoyed chatting with the staff and some regular visitors. The owner's story for starting the rescue cat cafe is inspiring, and I hope her efforts lead to a lot of great new homes for the cats! I would come again if I'm in the area, and I recommend the cafe across the street which is open until 3 pm. The food and drinks...
