Wonder Steak Wakayama — Restaurant in Wakayama

1000 yen (1100 with tax) and self service all you can eat rice, miso soup, kimchi and pickled vegetables.

Good: the steak tasted pretty good and you can get your fill of rice and side dishes.

Bad: the whole system and design of the restaurant is terrible. You have to take off your shoes when you go in and order & pay at the counter. The staff were not genki or welcoming at all. They didn't explain the menu at all or ask if I had been here before and they were not patient as they give you little time to choose from the menu. Walking around in your socks in this restaurant makes for an unpleasant dining experience. The floor is sticky and the self service area floor has spilled soup, rice and vegetables. The self service area is very messy. The rice, kimchi and side dishes were not good at all either. I wouldn't come back to this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend it for couples or groups of friends. Bad system, bad seating and indifferent staff. I ordered my food and ate it quickly, I was only there for about 20 min utes. The meat is cheap and tastes ok but I would prefer to pay more and have a steak at a more comfortable restaurant. There are better choices for steak restaurants...

国体道路の日産の隣、土風家さんが閉店して新しくできたのがワンダーステーキさんでした。 内装は以前のままでしたので段差が結構あります。

オープン初日でしたが12時前には結構なお客さんでした。 入り口で先に支払いをするスタイルでペイペイの支払いもできましたがその他の支払いは不明。

お肉が焼ける前にセルフでご飯と味噌汁、野沢菜漬けとキムチを小皿に入れていると肉が焼き上がってました。 味噌汁マシーンでポチッ。 具材は乾燥ワカメと揚げを自分で入れられます。 ご飯味噌汁野沢菜漬けとキムチはおかわり自由なのは非常に助かりますね！ 各テーブルにソース3種塩コショウと割り箸がありました。

焼けたお肉ですが、トレーに直接肉のプレートを載せるとトレーが溶けるそうで、下にゴム製の鍋敷を敷くのを忘れないであげてほしいです。 肉持ったお客さんの後を追っかけて説明してるの見ると店員さんも大変だわ。

180gの超ジューシービーフロースステーキセットは、肉も結構柔らかく追加で注文もできるみたい。 焼き加減は肉プレート（石？）が熱いうちに切り分けて火を通す感じでした。 再加熱できるか分かりませんが結構終盤まで熱々でした。
