An incredible little cafe tucked away in the forest of Yamanaka! The Terrace delivers on its name with an amazing view of the nearby hills and forest.
We enjoyed the cafe basically for ourselves as we went just as they opened. The coffee was excellent, offering alternative oat milk. We also had their red bean toast which was yum, not overly sweet either.
We spoke with the manager for a while and discussed travelling around the area. He was really pleasant and welcoming!
The parking currently located at a neighbouring plot of land as they are renovating I assume, it’s a short walk and there are signs pointing you the right direction.

The use of building material from the beams to its roof top was carefully sought and thought of. Examining them closely, these are actually solar panels integrated to its roof structure!
Walked into the cafe, the huge glass window panels allowed ample warm and sunlight into its woody interior. Feels cosy & homely. While sipping my coffee, nibbled at their own baked cookies and looking out of the window. It was total relaxation.

This cafe serves excellent coffee with spectacular views. It’s the kind of cafe you feel at home and makes you easily want to spend the whole day there.
Apart from coffee, their cheesecake and chicken curry are a must. Everything is home made. I love how you feel so at home here.
The owners praise sustainability.. and you can see how they put words into actions. The furniture they use are made from wood and recycled paper, bring your own cup and get 100 yen discount, eco-friendly merchandise, plants, etc.
