Gout-Temps — Restaurant in Yamanakako

As it was in the mid-afternoon and all the restaurants were closed, we decided to try this restaurant as it was open.

I was not expecting a British pub. Complete with its eclectic decor, completely run by Japanese, all while listening to loop of the Beatles.

They have some good set meal options. I elected for the A Set with Shrimp and Mushroom Pasta. My wife got the Chicken set. These included salads and drinks. We asked for hot tea and got black tea in fine China! (The tea was good as well!)

I was surprised at the food. It was really good! My pasta was perfect. My wife's chicken steak was also tasty.

Her set included dessert, so she selected the Fruit Tart. It was outstanding!!

Lovely restaurant at Yamanakako / Hirano area.

The previous owner built this unique European house and the current owner turned it into a restaurant. It's really interesting that you don't feel like you are in Japan!

There are so many interesting decorations outside and inside of the restaurant. We even saw a huge santa as part of the Xmas decorations:)

Few vegetarian options available (margarita pizza, avocado cream pasta and desserts). Good for a quick bite after a long hike near...

The pizza was not good. Incredibly thin and the sauce had a canned flavor. The tea and pasta was very nice. The tea pots were very cute. They seated us in a corner that was freezing but they had a heater that warmed the place fairly quickly. The service was fast. Overpriced for...
