This is the proper Showa-era coffee shop experience! The cafe is collaborating with nearby hotels to keep the luggage ( the hotel sends the luggage to the cafe which is literally 10 seconds walk away from the station), and we were one of those who asked them to keep our luggage after going to the Monkey Park. We had some time to kill until the next train, so as we received the luggage, we also decided to have something. The cafe was very empty and there was an old lady doing everything for us. She was so sweet and kind. We had a cup of coffee and tea and bread with jam. The bread came with slices of apples which was a surprise! The coffee I ordered was prepared in a siphon coffee maker which gave a great taste. We only stayed for a short time there, but it was such a tranquil and lovely break after exploring the neighbourhood! I’d recommend anyone to stop by before you leave Yudanaka.

- classical atmosphere with natural light - wide variety of foods and drinks - great quality of fruit juice (and the price is cheap) - cute fruit parfait - friendly staffs; they would keep your luggage after check-out if you stay in Kokuya Ryokan at Shibu Onsen, which is convenient because this cafe is situated right in front of the station.

Lovely little spot right next to the town train station. The sweetest lady made us fresh egg and ham sandwiches that were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a rich café au lait and a parfait made with ice cream and fresh fruit. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and get ready to be treated like family.

Wonderful cafe just outside the Yudanaka station. We stopped by and ordered tea, coffee, cake, and even curry—all of which was home cooked by the sweet owner. We loved it so much we stopped by one last time before leaving town. This is a great place to stop by for breakfast, lunch, or small bite to eat. If you’re a large group since it is run by one individual it might a while for food to be prepared. Highly recommend...
