Izakaya Ichie — Restaurant in Yokosuka

Good food! Our group of five reserved for a Friday night. Never noticed this place but found it online looking for izakaya in Uraga-Mabori area. The boys got the 3h all you can drink for 2000 yen (not sure if they have it everyday; please check) which was a great deal, and they had a variety of drinks (English menu is somewhat entertaining). At 18:30 we were the first ones there, but people kept coming (one group went upstairs) until it was full and shop people had to apologetically decline new customers. Even after a larger group left around 21:30, 2 x 2 young-ish ones came in. Popular place. The only downside was the smoking... Apparently they do allow it although they didn’t have ashtrays out. When the larger group near us started puffing away, it was killing me... the smoke had nowhere to go. I think the place might lack the air circulation system often seen built into the ceiling. Obviously smoking is a part of ‘izakaya culture,’ but regardless, to me it results in one less star. Maybe come early when the shop is still empty and leave when people with tabako come...
