I went for lunch with a friend and only three other tables were occupied throughout the hour we ate there. The (English) menu doesn't state outright, but the dish you order comes with courses. I got the hamburger steak, which came with a salad, then clam soup, then the main dish, and finally a strange but delicious oat soup dessert with an oatmeal cookie. You also get to choose a drink from the menu with the meal, which are mostly coffees and teas. The cafe Alexander is pretty good. They sell various merchandise, mostly bathroom-related items. It reminded me of a little grandma’s house with the fancy china, Lacey doilies, pastel floral items for sale, and antique old timey decor. The architecture was also unique from other homes turned into cafes. I had the blueberry waffle with a coffee float. Rich, buttery, light interior with a good crunch. The food never disappoints, and I love that when you get tea, you get a tea pot of tea versus a little cup. It's just a relaxing way to enjoy a meal and a pot of tea.
