Dechibica — Restaurant in Yomitan

The quality of food here is perhaps one of the best on the entire island; fresh flavors, local cuisine and bountiful vegan options.

I ordered the jerk chicken bowl with the pumpkin cashew-nut curry and it was the little taste of Autumn that you don’t normally get to enjoy being in the subtropics.

The only quirks that I wasn’t a fan of were the odd hours, and it seemed like they were out of nearly every option on the menu but a few items. I’m not sure if that was just a one-off circumstance or if this is just a VERY small operation, but it did limit the experience of the potential Dechibica has to offer.

I ordered the jerk chicken set. It came with a variety of food in small portions and a muffin. From what I heard, the muffins are popular, and is almost a signature for the place. They are delicious! I could go there just for the muffins. The jerk chicken set has a variety of flavors, so I found a few things that were not to my liking, however, they were not disgusting. I got the green chicken curry and the avocado curry! The flavors were incredible and pungent! All the little side dishes were amazing as well! Yen only and they have 5 parking spots but it is car behind cars, or you could park on the street I suppose as some of the locals did.
