Just had an amazing dinner at Yokaichi. First some starters with three small bites of sashimi that were exquisite and a taste of what was to come. As the main course I had a set of five mixed nigirizushi, which three fish, one shrimp and one beef sushi, which seems to be a speciality. The Each piece was uniquely handcrafted with its own individual taste highlighted, whether it was with salt, lemon or their own soy sauce. For my second order they were out of what I selected, but the chef made a special piece with the fish of my choosing plus two other from the menu (red shrimp and grilled salmon). Dessert was a home made, classic, Japanese vanilla pudding. A perfect and refreshing end to the whole meal. For drinks I had some great beer and I can also recommend the Ao drink a scotch and soda made from Suntorys five blend whiskey with some smokyness to it - a great drink for this seaside town.
