蚕畑だった場所に、欧州の田舎町を再現した唯一無二のカフェ。［カフェ ラ ファミーユ／茨城県結城市］ 結城市の住宅街にひっそり佇む隠れ家的レストランです。 最近ではドラマの撮影にも使われました。 キッシュプレートは一日限定数食なので 席を予約しても開店前に並ばないと食べられないです。

一軒家がつくり出す、隔絶された特別な空間が心地よさの秘密。 閑静な住宅街を進んでいくと、突如として現れる白壁の建物。アンティークな風合いの鉄の門扉をくぐると建物への入り口があり、その脇には木の板を並べた小路が続きます。その風景はヨーロッパのどこかの町のようで、まるで異国の地へ迷い込んだような錯覚に陥ってしまいそうです。ここはオーナー奥澤氏が2003年にオープンした『カフェ ラ ファミーユ』。広大な敷地には一軒家のカフェと別棟になった雑貨店があり、その間の小路を進んでいくと目の前には庭や畑が広がります。庭の向こう側には納屋があり、農家をイメージしているようです。少し変わっているのは、敷地の入り口に周囲を隔てるように一番大きな建物のカフェが建っていること。

「道路に対して建物が背を向けるように配置し、キッチンなどのバックヤードは全て道路側にあります。カフェの中に入ると、車などの動くものがなるべく見えないようになってます。 確かにカフェの窓を通して見えるのは、木や庭などの緑、隣の雑貨店など敷地内の風景が中心。奥澤氏がつくり上げた世界観の中で心地よい時間を過ごすことができます。

建物の設計については、奥澤氏が大まかなラフを描き、気に入ったインテリアや雰囲気が掲載された洋書などをコピーし、スクラップブックを制作。それを設計者が図面に落とし込んでデザインしたとのこと。家具や調度品は、奥澤氏が長年にわたって買い集めてきたものがメインで、足りないテーブルなどは自作によるものです。アンティークの椅子や照明、雑貨などは、国も年代もスタイルも様々。しかし、店内の雰囲気は見事に調和し、『カフェ ラ ファミーユ』ならではともいえる独特の空間を楽しませてくれます。 とにかく、ここが茨城県とは思えない異空間 ぜひ一度訪れてみてください。

What's a bit unusual is that the largest building, a cafe, stands at the entrance to the property, separating it from the rest of the property.

この日は結城市に用事があり、ちょっと一息つけるカフェを探してみることに。せっかくなら雰囲気の良いお店でゆっくり過ごしたいと思い、検索して見つけたのがこちらのお店。口コミも良く、気になったので行ってみることにしました。

ナビを頼りに車を走らせると、だんだんと細い路地へ。最初は「本当にこんな場所にカフェがあるの？」と少し不安になりましたが、しばらく進むと突然お店が現れ、一安心。隠れ家のような佇まいにワクワクしながら店内へ入ります。

扉を開けた瞬間、そこはまるで異世界。アンティーク家具が並ぶ落ち着いた空間で、まるで時間がゆっくり流れているかのような雰囲気です。店内にはクラシカルな照明や古い木製のテーブル、センス良く飾られたインテリアがあり、まるでヨーロッパの小さなカフェに迷い込んだような気分に。ちょっとした非日常を味わえる素敵な空間です。

メニューを眺め、今回は「いちごのタルト」と「ブレンドコーヒー」を注文。タルトは運ばれてきた瞬間から、その華やかさに目を奪われます。大粒のいちごが贅沢にのっており、見るからに美味しそう。ひと口食べると、甘酸っぱいフレッシュないちごと、程よい甘さのクリーム、香ばしいタルト生地が絶妙にマッチしており、口の中で幸せが広がります。リッチな気分を味わえるスイーツでした。

そして、ブレンドコーヒー。深みのある味わいで、いちごのタルトとの相性も抜群。スイーツの甘さを引き立てつつ、後味はすっきりとしていて、何杯でも飲みたくなるような美味しさでした。

さらに驚いたのは、お店で自家製のパンも焼いているということ。せっかくなので、帰りに自宅用のパンを購入することにしました。レジ横には焼きたてのパンが並び、どれも美味しそうで目移りしてしまいます。今回はシンプルなバゲットを選びましたが、次回は違う種類のパンも試してみたいところ。
