Shamsa Rooftop Cafe offers a delightful culinary experience, particularly their standout eggplant fatteh. The dish was truly amazing, and the accompanying tabouleh provided a fresh and zesty counterpoint. The overall experience was good, with a pleasant ambiance that you'd expect from a rooftop setting. However, potential visitors should be aware that Shamsa appears to be a haven for shisha smokers. During my visit, nearly every table had shisha, creating a very smoky environment. This makes it less than ideal, and perhaps even uncomfortable, for non-smokers and certainly not a recommended spot for families with children. In summary: If you're a fan of delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, especially the eggplant fatteh, and don't mind a very smoky atmosphere, Shamsa could be worth a visit. However, non-smokers and those with children may want to consider...

We had the pleasure of being served by Hamdi Shamali, whose professionalism and warm hospitality truly elevated our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and inviting ambiance of the place. Every detail was thoughtfully maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. The food was nothing short of outstanding — beautifully presented, rich in flavor, and clearly prepared with care and expertise. Hamdi’s attentive service, combined with the exceptional quality of the cuisine and the immaculate surroundings, made for a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable visit. We would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to...

I have called the place before showing up and I was told that I may find a window seat if I show up early. Unfortunately, my friend and I have been waiting for around an hour and we weren't even seated. When we got tired waiting, we entered the cafe after seeing no one waiting alongside us and new customers just walked in and seated ourselves. The manager removed us from an empty table that was reserved though I tried to book a seat via the phone, but that's not what the person who answered my call explained to me. I am totally frustrated from the I'll treatment I got though this place eas recommended to me by a friend from the UAE....

Went to Shamsa earlier during my trip to Amman and had a great experience. First thing, hospitality through the roof. Two of the waiters came by and suggested me several things to try and helped me decide on what to order. The steak sandwich ? Heck yes order that their sauce is just out of this world. Probably one of the best steak sandwiches I ever had. Mixed mezza ? It’s okay. Not the best- you’re probably better off spending your calories and money on something else. I had their pineapple orange and ginger juice. I don’t like ginger so it’s not something I’d try again. Overall the experience is great.

Tried their breakfast. I asked for scrambled eggs with salt and pepper but got it plain. It was not bad after using a pepper shaker. Hummus was okay but could've used some tatbeeleh. Beans (ful) is not served as part of this breakfast, but you do get some jam, honey, labneh, cheese, some vegetables, etc Breakfast costs 13.5 JD without the bottles of water they usually try to force on you (which cost around 1.10 each) The view is great. There's no non-smoking area but we went early morning so it was fine for the most part, though ideally there should be one. Female staff member was friendly and attentive.
