Gagarin Coffee — Restaurant in Almaty

One of my favorite spots in the city.

Gagarin Coffee has such a warm, friendly atmosphere — perfect for getting work done or just relaxing with a great cup of coffee. I really appreciate their smart zoning: some tables are laptop-friendly, while others are reserved for guests who just want to enjoy their drinks and conversations. It’s a great idea, especially given the number of office buildings nearby — clearly designed with their audience in mind.

There are plenty of outlets, and the drinks are consistently good. Their breakfast menu is also worth mentioning — tasty and satisfying. Occasionally, I’ve had moments when coconut milk wasn’t available or the kitchen was temporarily closed due to technical issues, but these are minor things and don’t take away from the overall experience. Since arriving in the country, we’ve been trying out different coffee shops. We’re just tourists, but we also work in the coffee industry, so we tend to be particular about our coffee. So far, this is the only coffee shop that has met our standards and preferences. The coffee was excellent, the ambiance was relaxing, and the staff spoke English. Service was also fast.

I visited this Gagarin coffee shop for the first time and fell in love with their breakfast. The scrambled eggs with turkey were super delicious. Tasted the fruit tea which was just good, very mild and sweet, bc I love sweets teas. And of course, coffee to go as a must. I'd strongly recommend trying it. Will come back soon to Gagarin coffee.
