We had an amazing experience at Lee House while celebrating the special day of our highly respected coach, Alexander Afanasyevich. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a memorable gathering.
The food exceeded all our expectations. We started with the crispy spring rolls and the signature seafood soup, both of which were full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The Peking duck was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening—tender, juicy, and served with soft pancakes and a delicious hoisin sauce. The beef in black pepper sauce was another standout dish, with its rich aroma and perfectly balanced seasoning. We also enjoyed the garlic shrimp, which was fresh and beautifully presented, and the fried rice with vegetables, which complemented the main dishes perfectly.
The staff was attentive and professional, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Every dish was served promptly, and the presentation was top-notch. We truly appreciated the effort put into making this celebration special.
A huge thank you to the entire team at Lee House for an unforgettable dining experience. We will definitely be...
Read moreGood to have a Korean BBQ house around Almaty that’s close to authentic style. I could tell right away as soon as I got in that it’s Korean style. The menu offers korean foods as their main dishes and on the other hand offers a few European, Asian and local Kazakh dishes. We ordered a few Korean dishes and it wasn’t perfect but it was good. The portions are good to share and like any Korean place, they also offer 3 side dishes including kimchi. But the kimchi is rather too sweet.
1/ Smagyupsal- it was barbecued and served perfectly with fresh greens but the type of meat used is rather too fatty. Also not much samgyupsal options for a weather like winter.
2/ Bibimbap- it was tasty but I think they could add a bit of beef to it, just a bit and didn’t really understand why they put pickled stems in it instead of giving pickles as a separate side dish.
3/ stir-fried tofu with beef- this one’s a real big portion and taste good.
4/ mushroom soup- oh no, toooo creamy
All in all, I think if foods are less sweeter and spicier with more and better side dishes, this could be perfect. And especially the sauces can be very much improved as I personally didn’t like my dipping sauce. But for the price they offer, this is a good...
Read moreWe went there to get something hot and spicy because we got cold and wanted to recover sooner. But all I got was a watery soup, that had to be Kimchi stew. All the salads and extra dishes we ordered were too sour and marinated. I had an impression that products were not fresh. Service is the weakest part. Waiters were inattentive and kept missing and confusing our orders. We ordered fried chicken in 2 separate containers, they brought chicken in sweet-sour sauce and forgot to part it. In reply to my polite reminder (I never got upset or mad at waiter) the lady waiter sighed loudly and rolled her eyes. I gave it 3 stars because despite sourness of...
