Чайхана NAVAT 4You — Restaurant in Almaty

I visited this pathetic restaurant today, on the 21st and had the most unpleasant experience based on racism, bias and judgement. After being made to wait for 20 minutes, I was given the table. To my utter dismay, the server refused to take my order. Confused, I called the manager, Ms Maral, who explained that she is scared I may run away without paying as there is an earthquake scare so I was refused the service itself. I was absolutely shocked. I told them no other guest is being treated ruat Way and I'd rather just walk away. Why did they make me wait for 20 minutes when they refused to take the order? How humiliating it is for a guest to fe told that you have to pay upfront as we think you might run away. The manager then apologised saying the server didn't mean to offend. I was made to wait for another 20 minutes with no one setting the table. No plates, no cutlery. I was served Baursky or something with cream and finally exhausted after waiting when I asked for the cheque, they realised they messed up (on purpose) and tried to cover it by offering me that shitty appetizer on the house. I paid 1000 kzt for the complimentary appetizer and walked out in tears. It is a reflection of the values and service standards held by the Navat chain of restaurants. This is a clear case of racism, bias and condescending attitude. How dare the server refuse service by making a lake earthquake excuse while each one of the other tables were being served fine. A similar incident happened with a group of guests from an arab country as they told me about it outside. Clearly the restaurant doesn't want to cater to indians and probably other asian communities. It's a blatant disrespect not just to the guests but to their own profession as it's a service industry. Shame on...

Добрый вечер! Были сегодня в данном ресторане, отмечали день рождение дочери. Предзаказ даже сделали заранее, а салат закончился. Официант был ну просто никакой… не приветливый, не живой, даже его 10% не хотелось оплачивать. Не знает, что из блюд на стопе… Салаты не вкусные, компот сладкая водичка… Бешбармак принесли, холодный, сказали официанту об этом, он сказал щас решу и больше к нам не подходил. Пришлось кушать холодный, разбавляя шорпой. Куырдак был горячий, его рекомендую. Порции салатов мизерные. За те деньги, что были потрачены, все должно быть на высоте, а пока все на 2+ (+ за куырдак). Ну и никто даже и не поздравил дочь, как это делается во всех ресторанах. Не рекомендую к посещению данное заведение, ну или через годик может что-то...

Хочу выразить огромную благодарность кафе «Новат» за тёплую атмосферу и отличное обслуживание. Особенно хочется отметить официанта Мейргуль — очень вежливая, внимательная и доброжелательная. Благодаря ей визит стал ещё приятнее! Всё было быстро, аккуратно, с улыбкой. Обязательно...
