On The Roof — Restaurant in Astana

One of the most elegant rooftop restaurants in Astana, with a beautiful view of the river. Yes, it’s on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it.

I’ve been a few times - with my mom, my daughter, and a friend - and always had a great experience. The food is excellent (I still remember the eggplant dish, it was divine), and the wine selection is solid. Their teas are lovely too. Desserts were less memorable, but that’s the only small thing.

The atmosphere is calm and stylish, with soft music and thoughtful decor. One time we sat out on the patio surrounded by flowers, under big sun umbrellas, watching the river. Another time it was too windy, so we stayed indoors and really enjoyed the cozy interior - white tablecloths, woven napkins, beautiful dishes.

The staff are kind, professional, and always smiling.

Nice place, good cuisine with pretentious Italian flavour, cozy and expensive. However some dishes are very tasty: for example, carpaccio of trout and tartare of trout and tuna fish. Tagliatelle with spinach and salmon were covered by parmigiano cheese and cream ((( the service is nice, the toilet is clean. Sincerely I don’t understand how it’s possible to permit smoking hookah or shisha when some people is still eating or drinking good wine. isn’t it prohibited according to the RK laws ?
