Our first time in Kazakhstan, we were looking forward to the tasting menu. As tourists without a local payment app, the reservation process was very inconvenient. The restaurant requires a 50% advance payment. Since we arrived on the same day as the reservation, we had to find someone in Almaty to make the payment – okay, we managed that. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table, and less than five minutes later, we had our first course. We weren't asked about wine or pairing. We'd barely swallowed before the second course arrived. If I hadn't said anything, we probably would have eaten all 11 courses in an hour. The food was very well cooked and very well seasoned. The lamb and horse cheeks were my highlights. The horse fillet was also good, but it was cold. I assume the entire menu was pre-cooked, and when I asked them to serve more slowly, the chef faltered. The food was good, but overall the restaurant needs to rethink how they handle prepayment and the service needs to be improved—it's not fast...

Oh where do I begin with this place…it was amazing! I had seen a photo of this soup before on the reviews from another person and kept thinking about this bowl of soup. I went and wow it was everything I imagined it to be. The service and quality of food was impeccable. I recommend to get the platter of different meats. There was camel and horse meat on their along with some veal. It was amazing. Also their home bread where it was stuffed with some greens inside…I don’t know but we were so full but kept eating that bread. It was their house bread as our server told us. It was spectacular combined with the butter. I will always visit here and recommend everyone to go...

If you are looking for an authentic Kazaki cuisine experience then this is not the place. It is gourmet to the extreme end. Beautiful restaurant, with beautiful interiors, trying to place itself among fine dining however still long way to go. Apart from the prices and the sophisticated dishes... The rest is a very compromised experience. Staff very sweet and polite but not trained enough. There is very limited options in local wine (one red one white)... And only by bottle. Not even the oportunity to try. Too many mistakes in the order and in the bill. Should you have only few days in the city, I would...
