Visited the restaurant for the first time, was relatively empty with a lot of tables available, sat upstairs upon asking one of the waiters if upstairs is open, one table was free however after sometime the table next to us was never served and they walked away after they complained to the lady waitress, Called the waiters twice, both the gent and lady who seem to be serving upstairs, they only stated each time they will come despite the place not being busy at all even though its festive season, The couches are badly torn, uncomfortable and lots of crawling bags on the floor (probably due to some food that spilled by previous clients which was never cleaned),
After 32 minutes wait, no service, we decided to leave, the service staff were behind the Bar with whom I assume is the owner / manager, one client sitting at the Bar,
Enquired as to how service works or if its self service, the male waiter responded by "oh you have been sitting upstairs?" Despite me calling him twice and stating he will come through.
A very disappointing experience

Read moreFood took for ever. Unless you wanna stay for hours or you are not really hungry dont even think about it. Prices are way too high, exceeding european standards. You can eat at Nomad, a 5 star hotel for this price.
Chairs are uncomfortable. Considering price and value (large Pizza 1400ksh) this is ridiculous and not recommended. At Nomad you pay the same for a Pizza. And the ambience at Nomad is top.
Hence 1 star for waiting OVER 1 hour for a Pizza at an exaggerated price. Especially considering the place was not even full this is a joke.
Food in general OK but not wow. First meal was ok but small. Second, meat was burned beyond recognition. Third meal was ok but high priced. Fourth meal a Pizza was way too expensive. Pizza was thin somehow wet.
Ketchup served in a Heinz bottle but clearly not Heinz. More like the cheapest brand Peptang.
Chairs uncomfortable. Tables too low hence eating is a challenge. T

Read moreThis place is magical! I spend there more than 6 weeks, visiting the restaurant and using it as a kitesurf base. Food is delicious, you can choose between healthy meals or good quality Italian dishes. It's a fusion - Italian taste with African soul! They have the best tiramisu in Diani, no words. Service is nice, polite, and well organized. Kite school is super: good spot without sea urchin, filled in the lagoon for freestyling, the perfect place to start downwind down Diani Beach. The shuttle on the beach with the person who is taking care of the gear and rider. Stable WiFi for the remote job between sesion, shower all the facilities. Amazing view, interesting events, and a lot of good vibes. What else do you need? Thank you Guys...
