We don't go often to Vera but, were pleasantly surprised when we were looking for a place to have a coffee and perhaps a light lunch and found Koko café bar. It's a lovely café bar, with a few tables inside and serving outside tables, situated in a quaint square by the church. Inside is very tastefully decorated, lending to a lovely, modern/cosy atmosphere, with a full length bar, a settee with 2 armchairs and coffee table and also, just 3 tables and 4 chairs. It is spotlessly clean as the guy behind the bar was constantly cleaning everywhere; mopping the floor, wiping bar and tables, cleaning juicing machine, cleaning the one toilet cubicle, washing his hands, mopping the floor.....(you get the picture)?, and all in between serving and or giving attention to patrons; seriously, the guy just didn't stop moving, unlike in some places where they just stand behind the bar or wait on tables. We were very impressed and thought that, with pride in his work like that, he must be the owner of the bar but, when we asked, he said "no, I just work here 3 days a week". The small kitchen, staffed by a hardworking young lady and visible through an open doorway, was also spotlessly clean. And so neatly on to the food. The menu contains both snacks, like sandwich rolls etc, and main meals/rationed. We both had a coffee and a lovely chicken sandwich roll, washed down, in my case with a small beer and in the case of my wife a cocktail, of which they have a small selection on offer. Koko, now our favourite little café bar...
Read moreThis Cafe is as good as it gets. Good food, excellent deserts and the largest cup of coffee we have had in Spain. Full of mainly Spanish, which says something, and busy. Cafe was very dog friendly in that they sensibly put us in a corner out of the way, so dog visitors are well controlled. Brilliant Cafe and I fully...
