Sehr empfehlenswert! And now English: On a car trip, overtired and hungry we stopped in Vera, to check into a hotel. We looked out for a restaurant, but most of them were already closed @21:30 or simply didn’t attract us. So we went into L ’Chispico and were a little unsure, because we were the only guests. In Germany in most of the cases they will then serve you only “half-hearted”. But all doubts were totally unfounded. We were greeted nicely by a charming young woman, could choose a table freely and from then on were served like kings – they regularly asked about our well-being. Super! The pizza was just as I imagined. Baked in a stone oven visible from our table, slightly crispy, unevenly shaped (by hand?) and just extremely delicious. We took our time to eat and didn’t feel rushed. We paid and gave a tip, which they were very happy about (is not common in Spain) and left the place satisfied and happy. I am frequent visitor of that region and will come back. Highly...
Read moreWe visited a couple of times for breakfast and it was very tasty.
The coffee is good, decent range of breakfast options, nice cakes and pastries and most items are fairly priced. The only slight criticism is despite the orange juice claiming to be freshly squeezed we remain unconvinced as it's not the same as we have had across the rest of Spain and does ultimately taste like (albeit decent) carton orange juice.
We would definitely return though and we have since found out they serve fresh pizzas so we will...
Read moreThe ambience isn't the greatest. There wasn't any music on, and the place is really echoey.
The pizzas though, wow! We went for my friend's son's birthday and the pizza is amazing and the service is friendly.
If they could sort out the echo in there, and have some low music on, then this would definitely be a 5 star review.
In short, I wouldn't go for a romantic meal with my other half, but to grab a few pizzas, this place...
