Le Relais De l'Entrecôte — Restaurant in Mubarak Al-Kabeer

Baba took us here for dinner and I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while but I’m afraid that it hadnt met my expectations and Swiss Butter is a much much better alternative.

This place only serves one thing on the menu, a standard whole meal course for 11KD which serves a salad and two “servings” of the steak in their special sauce and fries.

The salad was all right but the portion was so small and it was just lettuce with some mustard, the lettuce wasn’t even cut so you had to maneuver around that on your own. They then served the steak with fries, if you choose your steak to be medium well the size would be kinda small but not as small as the well done that’s completely down to being flat. The portion was extremely small and the second serving had an even smaller portion, which was funny in my opinion. I only had three tiny strips of meat in my plate. The fries were extremely soggy in my opinion.

We had crème brûlée for desert and they didn’t have the smaller portion in 5 pieces so we had to get the big one (which indicated that it’s not prepared there on the spot) but the taste was not bad. I think it tasted better than the entire meal. Also what’s with their desert spoons? They replicated a shovel.

I had to also deduct a star from this place because it’s disappointing to see restaurants continuing to serve drinks such as cola that are not 🍉 friendly.

Always my go-to when I want to have my usual set meal. The price of a meal is about 11.500 kd (without drinks). Although its quite pricey, I believe it is worth it. I just wish 3 servings would be offered instead of just 2. The staff are really kind and helpful, especially the managers. I always come for a specific taste in mind and they never fail to satisfy what I was craving. This is the best branch personally. Alot of parking, great seating options, wonderful atmosphere and location. Quite but still quite busy on some days. Highly recommend trying...
