Went there for a brunch. Brunch costs 19 EUR, and must book a table before, it is served from 11am till 1PM or from 1:30PM till 4PM. We went in 11AM it was almost all tables taken, it feels too many people, but was no queue or crowd in food serving area. Non of the drinks are included, even coffee you have to pay separately. I found drinks card very poor for the brunch (especially if you anyway pay separately for drinks), half of the drinks were not available, waiter said we have an old drink card, that is why. Selection of food is quite well enough for the brunch, embracing see food concept. 3 salads, however all are Cesar's, some mostly fish canapes and snacks, and even soup. Big selection of mussels (2 or 3 different dishes), but such a dominant amount of cracked shells and those deadly closed after cooked, it was quite scary to try mussels and quite hard to catch and find those eatable, as I said dominated closed. I believe cook must be brave enough to leave the closed mussels in the dish, unless he picked them himself though! And oysters are served and included, 2 per person (1 raw, 1 cooked). Read moreMan ļoti žēl, ka izvēlējāmies branču šajā grilbārā. Cena (39 eur vienai personai) pret kvalitāti ir ļoti zema. Medijos brančs tika reklamēts kā jūras velšu festivāla sastāvdaļa, tomēr gan apkalpojošā personāla attieksme, gan arī piedāvātais viduvējais sortiments neradīja ne mazāko svētku sajūtu.
Neskatoties uz to, ka bijām par branču jau samaksājuši iepriekš (nopirkuši autorizētas biļetes), sagaidošais viesmīlis prasīja uzrādīt papildu rezervāciju galdiņam. Tā kā galdiņš biļešu cenā neesot iekļauts, viesmīlis pēc ilgām pārrunām nosēdināja mūs neomulīgā mc2 veikala zonā. Pusotras stundas laikā, kamēr brančojām, vairāki resto galdiņi joprojām stāvēja tukši.
Arī piedāvātie jūras velšu ēdieni bija salīdzinoši pieticīgi (izņemot katram uz stingru skaitu piešķirtās 2gab austeres) un neatšķīrās gandrīz nemaz no citiem standarta brančiem. Nepameta sajūta, ka max mēģināts ietaupīt- ja garneles, tad tikai salātos vai ar nūdelēm, ja lasis, tad tikai ar avakado. Vienīgais, ko tiešām var uzslavēt- marinēti tunča gabaliņi.
Rezumējot- brančs 2pers. kopā ar dzērieniem izmaksāja 95eur.. Ja vēlaties jūras velšu festivālu, labāk uzklājiet baltu galdautu mājās, nopērciet pudeli dzirkstošā, kā arī svaigas austeres, scallops, lobsteru, langustīnus un noteikti būs vērtīgāk.
P.s. Pirmais brančs dzīvē, kurā nav iekļauts pat dzeramais ūdens…Rīgā ir daudz...
