This restaurant is in a great location in the Vieux Port. It is famous for its bouillabaisse and it was competitively priced. However, considering its history of being a poor man's food, it has surely come a long way and can set you back by €65--one order can be shared by two people. The staff were very attentive and professional. There is a complimentary amuse bouche, pre-dessert (panna cotta) and canapés. The bouillabaisse can be quite salty, depending on your palette, but the seafood was fresh and the croutons with garlic and rouille went well with the soup. Apart from the bouillabaisse, we also had mussel gratin for starters and traditional millefeuille for dessert. Oddly, the service slowed down come payment time. We had to wait a long while before someone came to assist us. Overall, we had a good experience and we felt that we got the value for what we paid for.

a gorgeous place. We didn’t have anywhere to eat but came across this beautiful place and knew that that’s where we are going. Awesome staff, really helpful, appreciative and respectful. Food is just so good. The food has its own unique taste and texture and that makes it amazing. Don’t believe the people who think that this restaurant is bad. Yes, it is pricey but it’s so worth it. We were so full we didn’t have enough space to eat the desert but they looks absolutely stunning. I 100% recommend this restaurant! A dinner for 4 people costed about 280€ with wine. Also includes small compliments from chief which were so good!!

If you are an English speaker- I would honestly recommend AVOIDING this restaurant! Kind of shocked at how I was treated. I was planning on dropping $200+ on dinner and wine. It is not a sidewalk cafe... The manager is a walking and honestly outdated steroetype of the arrogant rude French waiter... He rolled his eyes at me and sighed with dramatic body language when I asked for the wine list. It was sitting on the table and I had not seen it. I softly laughed embarrased & said Merci. He Made a rude comment and twirled to walk away when I was attempting to ask a question. I asked someone else for assistance and they were quite nice... however, he was my waiter. One of the women came over to put something down and spoke the fastest French that I have heard... I started to ask her to slow down that I didn't speak much French when she placed the plate - almost threw it in front of me... swirled around and went to the service station... grabbed bread- came back over and slammed it down- still holding onto it in front of me... and barked "Pain!" Still looking directly at me... she said, "bread in French is Pain!" Her body language was angry and aggressive! The manager clearly perpetuated the culture in the restaurant and although I am a native English speaker, I speak AND understand quite a bit of French... definitely enough to know that the manager was mocking an English speaker on the phone as well regarding their attempt to communicate. They were not busy at all. It was early- they were standing around. They could have taken the time to allow me the time and space to order. I felt so incredibly uncomfortable. Other things happened. I really just wanted to leave. The manager was loud and made a scene... involving other people. It was incredibly unprofessional. Not world class or classy at all. They made me pay almost $30 for wine and water that I did not drink. Tacky! This is a touristy area. I have spent the last 6 weeks traveling around France & this was a first! It doesn't matter if the food is good if the atmosphere is toxic. I chatted with my hotel that recommended them... They acknowledged that it wasn't a first... but, the food is good. No thank you. I love France. Not this restaurant. All unnecessary.

Great location and food was good. BUT... Experience was ruined by the staff who really did not know what to do... All the time there were about 10 waitresses just hassling around aimlessly. Naturally we had some communication problems 'cause we don't speak French and they don't understand English. First we had one dirty glass and we wanted to change that.. no big deal but the process of changing ONE glass took 2 waitresses to figure out what to do and where to get a new glass. Well that was solved. 👌 Ordering the food was like waiting the Christmas present. Never know what you'll get. We wasn't sure if they understood what we ordered even we pointed the dishes from menu. After one hour we got some food. Not all. And when the first ones were already done with their food, last persons from our group got their food. THE FOOD WAS GOOD ☺️ Getting the bill is not an easy task!! First took time to get someone to get our bill. Well, this person went to find another person the get the bill. This process took some time 'cause the bill was hand written. Bit wrong, naturally. Next hard thing was to find someone who would take our money. Even there were these 10 waitresses just hanging around. Summary: Food is very, very good but customer service is below low (at least non-French people).

You should avoid here as much as possible. Pros: good views and environment. Cons: Waiting too long time, inpatient waiters/waitress, and overpriced food. If you must come here, please remember that DO NOT order the "tray of fish", which is 138 euro for 2 people. Firstly they will show you a big tray of cooked fish, then they will take it away and tell you that they will help you to cut the fish into small pieces. Finally you will get 2 small plates of fish like the photo I attached (do you believe that it's 69 euro?). I guess that the fish in the final dishes was not the one in the original tray. In other words, they changed it. Because 1) the original one in the tray was big and various, but the final one in the plate was so simple. 2) The final fish we got were warm outside but cold inside, and had been re-heated obviously. 3) the waitress cut the fish in a corner we cannot see, rather than near our table.

This was the first (and only during the entire trip in France) restaurant we regret coming to. The staff (except the hostess who was super nice) was more like rude. We asked for tap water (not still water). They gave us a bottle which they opened at the table so we knew they were going to charge it but was surprised when we saw the bill- 9 euros for water. We never had an issue ordering tap water. Regarding food, we ordered a truffle appetizer (this was delicious) and their famous bouillabaisse. It looks like the fish they first showed wasn’t actually used in our bouillabaisse dish, e.g., crabs were different in size. Regarding the bouillabaisse itself, we barely ate it. I don’t understand why our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant, feels like a tourist trap!
