Casual, no-frills place with great South Asian/Sri Lankan food. Recommend the masala dosa with coconut chutney. Chai masala after the meal was amazing. The place was filled with locals/Sri Lankan people who told me that they’re regulars and the food is up to par!
I paid 6,000 LPP for masala dosa, vada curry and chai masala.
Edit to original post: I went a second time and they tried to charge me more for The exact same items I ordered the day before . For example, I paid 1,000 for tea the day before but when I went the second time they charged me 1,500. In the end, it’s not a lot of money. The food is still good and the prices are still cheap, yet I don’t like the fact that they change prices and give you whatever price they feel like after you already ate and go to pay. There was also a language issue, which is understandable, but as a foreigner make sure to ask for all the prices before you order (prices are not listed).
Biriyani for 5,000 was well...

It's the closest experience to actually traveling there. The food is clean and delicious, the staff is friendly, very simple in terms of furniture and decor, just patio plastic chairs and tables. The prices are relatively super cheap, we were four adults and two children, ordered "everything" because we didn't know what's what anyway, so they kept bringing plates for over 30 minutes, we also refilled couple of super delish chicken plates, and had desserts, plus four big beers and paid only $50! It's an experience that's worth your while if you're the kind of person who would try street food in a...
Read moreReal quick and authentic Indian food. The owner (I presume) was very friendly and helpful. He was patient with us while we searched through the menu and recommend certain dishes. Cleanliness and hygiene are low but I didn't expect them to be high for such a store-back canteen. The food is amazing. We order different dishes and they were all perfectly prepared. My most favorite dish was the one containing "Nun". The menu doesn't have any prices on it which I didn't appreciate but in the ended it was cheap in comparison to nearby places. I recommend the experience. You could also shop your way out through the Indian grocery store. Weird looking exotic veggies...
