I am a regular to Hallab outlets across Lebanon and really do love what they offer. Today unfortunately was a real disappointment. We ordered breakfast and really from the onset the whole experience was a let down, from demotivated staff, to dirty cutlery and then the food. The food was really not to the Hallab standard. We spoke to the staff and requested they take the food away barely eaten. The manager tried to offer us some sweets as a means of making a mends. There is no doubt that Hallab is one of the best pastry shops in Lebanon, but having said that, they will never let you complain! All I said was that the desserts I got were hard and tasted bitter. They said "sorry, we can't compensate you for anything because the batch of sweets that came out was good". I don't understand...so no one has ever returned a plate of food or been dissatisfied??
