I made a booking for 8pm but we changed our plans and decided to eat earlier. I checked the available tables online and there were many spaces available and since I was in Schaan I decided to go to the restaurant early. When I arrived there were at least 5 empty tables I could see. I asked if my booking could be moved earlier and one member of staff was trying to look through the system to see what could be done but then another came over and said they were full. I explained the restaurant didn't look busy and that I would accept any earlier time and could wait but I was told nothing could be done. I left the restaurant and checked the online booking system and there were spaces available to be booked.
I left a review and the owner replied, I then emailed the restaurant to explain. The owner took time to explain that the restaurant was full and they were responsive to my emails. The owner seemed happy with the service from the team. The response was that the booking system was faulty and that the staff would have let me in if there was space.

It said on the menu that fish comes with caramelized potatoes, but instead of potatoes it was pumpkin, and I absolutely do not like pumpkin. The waiter did not clarify it to me ether. Then I asked for a cup of hot black tea, he brought it to me - it was not even hot, and tea bag did not even make a real tea color... The glass was also not even full, but somehow half full. Lio is a good-looking restaurant where the food and the service seem not as important as you wish they would be. Lio is popular, but that introduces a problem to the inexperienced staff: they do not have a good view on the table occupancy so you're waiting very long if you did not reserve. In general, the staff is not very dedicated and service is therefore sketchy. Pizzas are, well, like pizzas everywhere outside Italy: average. I do not change my view that Lio is great for a drink and to imagine yourself for a moment somewhere else than in Schaan, but not for a dinner with your parents or something like that. Go to Lio for an aperitif, have a drink after work, spend some time with a friend; the ambiance is great and the interior designer really did a good job.
