I recently ordered a soup at this establishment and noticed that the bread served alongside it was handled directly with bare hands by the waitress, no gloves, tongs, or intermediary utensils were used, especially when waitresses and other staff are walking around coughing and blowing their noses. Any self-respecting restaurant should use these tools and should not let waitresses touch your food. Although the bread was (probably...) heat-treated in the oven prior to serving, the post-cooking manual contact represents a critical contamination point (reintroduction of pathogens). Human skin is a well-documented vector for microbial transfer: even after handwashing, resident bacteria (Staphylococcus epidermidis, Corynebacterium spp.) and transient pathogens (E. coli, Salmonella spp., norovirus) can be transferred to food surfaces. Once in contact with post-cooked bread, these microbes are not inactivated, creating a non-negligible risk to consumers. This observation raises serious concerns about the establishment’s food safety culture and...
Read moreVisited twice during this week. Terrible experience. Both times services was awful. The first time we ordered fried snacks, coffee and cakes. In 10minutes waitress brings coffee, in 30min-cake with ice cream and in a couple minutes follow hot snacks, letting ice cream melt while hurrying up to finish snacks, restaurant was nearly empty. Next time we ordered two grand pizzas using the phone and came to pick up - we got pizzas 25!! minutes later than promised time and had to wait 20 minutes to receive a glass of beer. In receipt we found that price is counted 16 euros too much, to correct that mistake it took them 20!! more minutes, while we were just sitting with pizzas getting cold. It took us 45 minutes just to pick up an order. Finally, when we opened the boxes, pizzas were awful - nothing like 50cm diameter that we paid for (40 cm at max), awful amount of poor quality ingredients and terrible view for 19 euros per pizza. AVOID...
Read moreGenerally, if you are hungry and do not wish for fast food, then this is a decent choice.
Pros would be, that the service here is great and it shows that staff here is trained quite well. If not fully crowded, meals come fast and in the correct order. What I did not like, were such things as: *most of their meals (except for pizza's) are defrozen, heated and served, so do not expect anything special, just take pizza *price does not meet quality *not too cosy *food served mildly warm, gets cold fast
I would give CanCan at least 4 stars, yet food quality was quite disappointing and gets cold pretty fast. Also, it seems that places like this are keen to save as many products as possible in cost of quality of food. Loved the service though! Waitresses were very nice and did not look displeased with what they are doing.
All in all, a mediocre place, but not too...
