Restaurant Sumi — Restaurant in Bettembourg

I visited this sushi restaurant with my wife (2 people). The all-you-can-eat concept works through a tablet, which helps to avoid waste – a good idea. The quality of the sushi was good, and we didn’t have to wait long before the first orders arrived.

The price for two people on a weekend was €70 (without dessert or coffee). Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but still acceptable given the food quality.

However, the service was very disappointing. The staff showed a total lack of respect for the customers – they spent the whole time talking loudly and laughing among themselves, without any sense of discretion or professionalism. In a restaurant setting, especially one that aspires to quality, silence and attentiveness should prevail.

Overall: Good sushi, poor service, and a price that doesn’t quite match...

Unimpressive. The all-you-can-eat sushi buffet is an affront. Go elsewhere if you are a connoisseur. I found it rude of the owner to tell me that they do not have any other fish than the one on the conveyor belt available because when I paid after my frustrating meal I saw two or three kinds of more yummy fish fillet on ice under the glass at the counter. I guess they're for à la carte eaters only. €24.50 for the assorted mediocrities passed off as sushi on the conveyor belt is really too expensive. The only nice...

Mein Besuch in dem Sushi-Restaurant Sumi war leider eine enttäuschende Erfahrung. Obwohl ich ein großer Fan von Sushi bin und mich sehr auf das Essen gefreut hatte, war die Qualität des Sushis alles andere als zufriedenstellend.

Der größte Kritikpunkt war der Reis, der einfach zu pappig war. Es fühlte sich an, als wären es Reste des Mittags Zug. (Da wir am Sushi Train saßen) Der Reis ist jedoch ein entscheidender Bestandteil von Sushi, und wenn er nicht richtig zubereitet wird, beeinträchtigt dies den gesamten Genuss. Es war schwierig, den Reis zu kauen und zu schlucken, und das hat das gesamte Geschmackserlebnis negativ beeinflusst.

Alles in allem kann ich das Sushi-Restaurant Sumi nicht empfehlen. Die Qualität des Essens, insbesondere der harte und pappige Reis, war enttäuschend. Wenn man nach einem authentischen Sushi-Erlebnis sucht, sollte man sich anderweitig umschauen. Es gibt mit Sicherheit bessere Optionen in der Stadt, die den Gaumen zufriedenstellen können.
