Mamma Mia — Restaurant in Dudelange

This is hands down the worst restaurant we have been to in Dudelange, we felt totally cheated. We went there one week ago with my parents who came to visit us. I ordered a “GRILLADE MIXTE DE POISSON” and when they served it, it came with half a lobster. I was surprised they decided to make the dish presentation with the cut area upside down. Then I understood why, when I turned the lobster and I found that it was completely empty, they had only brought the shell! I told the waiter and after talking to his manager he told me that it was due to the quality of the product, that apparently some lobsters had come empty (…) so he offered to give me a discount on the plate.

In total we ordered 4 beers and 4 dishes, my “grillade”, “friture de scampi y calamars” that became only “friture de scampi” as they do not have more calamars, a very good “tagliatelle au saumon” and a very bad “pizza Mamma Mia” with sauce bolognese on top. Due to the covid restrictions we had no time for deserts, so we just ordered 2 cafes and 2 limoncellos. When the ticket came my wife paid 155€! Then I took the ticket to see how much they discounted on my dish and I saw they charged the full amount, but the best part was they even included in our order deserts (3 tiramissus), Baylis (plus the limoncellos) and other things. So we told the waiter, he took the ticket, he entered in the restaurant and 5 minutes later he just gave us 30€ in cash, he did not give us any ticket, and he said sorry while he was walking quickly to other table. As I said I was with my parents so I did not want to make a situation there, my face was already saying a lot, but I felt completely cheated. As soon as I returned home, I entered in their website and I started to sum all the prices of what we ordered, ending up with an amount close to 100€, while they charge us 125€ (155€ - 30€). You can imagine how I felt in this moment. So please do not go to this place if you want to have a special dinner as I was expecting to have with my parents, there are far better italian alternatives in Dudelange where at least you will not end up feeling cheated as we felt.

On the other hand, I have to say that we were in this restaurant one year and a half ago, eating an amazing Ossobuco and we enjoyed a lot our dinner, but it was another waiter, a young Italian guy who was very professional. But I am sorry, after this experience we will never ever returned there and we will not recommend...

Par la présente, je voulais vous faire part de notre visite d‘il y a 1 heure dans votre Restaurant Mamma Mia en tant que cluent fidèle.

On a commandé une Tagliata de filet, un filet de Boeuf avec supplément sauce Bernaise et une Tagliatelle au Samon. Après environs 40 minutes, on a reçu le manger. 1 Tagliatelle au Saumon et 2 Tagliata de filet. Constaté l‘erreur, on a dit au serveur qu‘on n‘avait pas commandé ça. Lui, tout de suite disparu dans la cuisine revenait après deux minutes et a dit que cette assiette était pour une autre table (un client qui n‘était même pas encore 5 minutes au restaurant et était très étonné sur la vitesse de l‘arrivé de son manger). Après deux minutes, le filet de boeuf qu‘on avait commandé au début est aussi venu. (Pour cuire un filet de boeuf, il faut plus que 2 minutes). Le résulatat du filet de boeuf, FROID À L‘INTÉRIEUR, LA SAUCE BERNAISE, ON ATTEND JUSQU‘À PRÉSENT. Et ça á un prix de 32 euros. Le résultat de ma Tagliata de filet: j‘ai enlevé la roquette et le parmesan, et j‘ai constaté qu‘il n‘y avait que 4 petites tranches de viandes en dessous. Le dernier morçeau de ces 4 tranches était coupé des 2 côtés. Alors, le cuisinier a fait d‘une portion de viande 2 menus. Et ça a un prix de 35 euros par menu. Ça c‘est du vol et il faut avoir honte de faire des actions pareilles. A la fin du compte, on a payé quand même tout cet arnaque et on est sorti avec une addition de presque 115 euros. Je suis désolé mais a ce jour, j‘aurais mieux fait de me casser une jambe dans un accident de voiture que de venir manger chez vous. Et maintenant on reste sur la pénalité de 115 euros. Merci pour ça. Car bien mangé et payer pour bien manger on a pas...

Service is unbelievable, the taste of meal is very very delicious, even the wine and beer they recommended and gave are just the drinks that can make you fall in love with this restaurant.. I came from Azerbaijan and even thought just to copy and paste same restaurant in Baku. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in this small world :))) it is the number 1 restaurant in Dudelange, Luxembourg... thank...
