Was recommended by a friend to this restaurant for food in Pandan Indah. Arriving here at 7pm and the restaurant was already packed.
To be honest, with a store this size and packed crowd it is really common to a long waiting period, therefore reviews with low scores due to long waiting time really isn't fair to them. Despite so, it took us 45mins before our first dish was served.
We ordered their signature steam bean paste fish head (酱蒸松鱼头)and it was great. Not too salty, not overcooked, everything was balanced. Size wise is sufficient for 4 pax, despite us being only 3 pax. 4 / 5 for me
Next was their sweet and sour pork (咕噜肉) and this was below par to us. It was sweet and the tomato sauce which is the essence seems to be lacking here. 3/5 for me
Lastly would be the potato leaf vegetable stir fried (清炒树苗)and it was great, fresh and not too salty nor oily. Only thing we missed out was informing the serving size as we were served in Medium instead of Small, so we kinda overate. 4 / 5 for me
Overall price is reasonable and service is good with friendly staffs. Do try but come early or make a call...
Read moreWe had dinner here on Wednesday evening. Food is tasty and of good quality. Service is first class, fast and prompt. The lady taking the orders knows her stuff and gave us some good recommendations on dishes. Atmosphere is so so as it wasn't a busy evening. Portions on the dishes are slightly on a smaller scale. A downside is the bill at the end is slightly pricey compared to other dining places, about 50% more. We had the Marmite Prawns and it was RM75 for 5 prawns! RM15 for each prawn which me and my guests thought was pretty expensive. The recommended Fried Ginger Chicken was very good, crunchy on the outside, juicy and succulent inside, a must try item. The Fried Romano Greens with garlic was very tasty. The Salty Egg Calamari was superb, fragrant and melt...
Read moreI would come back again because the dishes recommended by lady boss were really flavourful.
The 3 cup chicken is superb and totally comparable to Fong Lye Taiwanese Teahouse in Gardens Mid Valley Mall.
Their signature deep fried fish is comparable to Thai styled fried fish but the more you taste the more you like it.
Claypot vege is normal. The soup is yummy. Lady boss can be a little too cozy but great to know that she's really proud of their dishes. It adds confidence.
We managed to get these 3 dishes + a single serving soup at slightly above RM100. Nice for the taste.
Be careful the lady boss will try every means to upsell you. If price is a concern to you please check the prices...
