Gemilang Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

The place was packed (not quite able to do physical distancing) & most of the items were out of stock when we visited in March 2021. Order took soo long to arrive at our table, maybe due to the crowd. We had 2pcs ikan kembung bakar (tasted so-so, i don't understand the need to pour the whole lot of sambal onto the fish, okra was nice though), bubur nasi ayam & bubur nasi telur masin (tasted ok), 2 plates of nasi putih with ayam masak petai (way too spicy!!!) & sup sayur (the best among the dishes we had). Total bill was RM80plus. Way tooo expensive, I feel. The shop accepted cash only; no credit card or online/cashless payment facilities. A big drawback here. Staff were OK but cashier was a bit unfriendly when she read out my bill. Too tired perhaps? Will I come...

Sorry for the half eaten picture, it was so delicious that i have forgotten to take picture and just want to enjoy the food😜... the taste is really savoury, there's even western style dishes to enjoy, and to my surprise, the cooking method was on par as any other esquisite western restaurants, with the meats and fries cooked to perfection (please don't compare the type og meats mind you 😉)... the thai cuisine such as somtam and special rojak is also scrumptious.
