Used to come here on morning weekends once in a while, it's somewhat difficult to get a parking in the morning due to the nearby morning market, so it is recommended to come before 7:40am-ish if possible, or park further, or park at the opposite paid parking spot. But there's plenty of parking on weekdays or in the afternoon from my experience.
Food is decent and there's a wide variety of selections. They even sell some snacks, biscuits, and instant noodles. But like many others that point out before this, their price is on the higher side. For example, the truffle biscuit that I bought is sold for RM9 here while it's RM7 from another store.
Now, as for the atmosphere, it's alright. Plenty of seats, but you'll most likely have to share a table with strangers if it's full house. Dine in there once on a weekday around 12-1pm, it's not packed but was a bit stuffy, though not to the point that it was uncomfortable. However one would expect them to turn on the air-cond consider how much you're paying for the meal there.
I'd say the service here is terrible, especially what I've experienced recently. Came here with my mum in the morning to takeaway. Mum picked up a pack of mantou from the table outside, which is where they're selling the pre-packed food usually. When we're about to pay for our food, the cashier aunty that wears spectacle grabbed the mantou from the hands of my mum without asking my mum, while still chatting with the other customer. When I confronted the cashier about it, she claimed that the other customer had ordered 5 packs of mantou from them, but they're missing 1 pack hence she had to take it from my mum, and insisted that the mantou belongs to the other customer
But get this straight: We got that pack of mantou from the selling area, it was not mentioned anywhere that the mantou was reserved, so every customer deserves the right to purchase the available item on the first come first serve basis, yet our rights were taken away The other customer missed her 5th pack of mantou because of the restaurant did not reserve the correct amount of food for her, in no way other customer should be responsible for the restaurant's incompetency Taking stuff away from one's hand without asking is just plain rude no matter how you put it
And the cashier auntie has the audacity to whine loudly "You see, I've been scolded by the customer" when all I did was questioning her action politely without raising my voice. In hindsight, we should've just leave our food there and leave and report to KPDNKK for violating basic consumer rights.
Also, apparently this is not the first time that the cashier auntie with spectacle has been rude towards the customer, as I've read another reviewer saying she was very rude when collecting money as well
So yea, we won't be returning after this incident, and hope they will improve in...
Read moreGood vegetarian store which serves a variety of vegetarian foods. I can see the owner did put a lot of effort to provide wide range of vegetarian foods. But just 1 thing, there is lacking of price transparency, which makes me think that the food itself is cost much more than it should.
I knew that most of the Chinese vegetarian didn't care much about it since taman muda is a huge Chinese populated prosperous area with so much of trading going on the road side. Most of it just gonna pack the food and pay the price as it is what quoted by the cashier. But it makes me hesitate to have my daily food here due to the price. In the light of that, I might have their food like 1-2 weeks once. Not everyday. And taman muda itself is so packed during morning time, and it is hard to find parking, and the place is so dense and I have to queue to get out most of the time.
But good job for operating such a quality store for the sake of vegetarian community. I do...
Read morePremises with 3 shoplots, 1 for cashier + mixed rice store and 2 for dining area. I ordered the ala carte menu instead of mixed rice.
Have to be abit patient depending on which waiter as our order is mixed up several rounds but it was well managed by the boss.
Curry mee (rm9.50) is good, soup is fragrant and better than some non-vege one out there, portion is big with good amount of pairing ingredients fuchuk, vege fish cake and etc.
Pan mee soup (rm9.50) is not bad, soup is too mild to my liking but can feel it is a hearty bowl of noodles
Marmite mushroom (rm16.90) is delicious, right amount of batter thickness with good bite size of the oyster mushroom. Portion wise can be slightly improve.
Dining area with fans and aircon which is comfortable to dine in....
