HK Seafood Restaurant (Menggatal) — Restaurant in Borneo

Came to Menggatal branch and ordered Nasi Goreng Ayam Madu from their menu. What came was nasi goreng ayam. i had clearly said Nasi Goreng Ayam Madu TWICE and if that cashier stopped playing with her phone while taking my order, she would have got it right. When confronted, suddenly they said “tiada dalam menu tu sis”. After proving to her that the item was indeed in the menu, confused, she then made her way while mumbling “eh ada ka tu..tiada tu dlm sistem” . With her coworker, they then starting pressing items in, and said ada pulak. But somehow told me, who was standing in front of them said kak kami tiada tu item dalam sistem. Dumbfounded by their comment, I told them that the honey chicken is served on the counter - but you can’t even cook it fresh?? Other branches, do have it in their menu and sistem, and able to have it cooked in the kitchen. As I pointed out the obvious that they do serve honey chicken on the buffet counter, the cashier immediately took the plate of few pieces and said oh miss mau kaini? - while trying to hand me a small plate of the leftover pieces of chicken like I was some kind of dog. HK SEAFOOD ~ please laaaa I have been dining at your restaurant many times, and never was i treated that way. Sorry la but I won’t ever dine at HK seafood anymore kalau begini la your staff treat...

Pros : Prices are cheap, not too shabby. Lamp is cool I guess.

Cons : The place is too hot, only one of the AC unit is functioning but it appears to be an ordinary fan.

Table is dusty and there seemed to be a tiny dip of tomato/ red sauce (Not THAT big of a deal but my point is the place could get some cleaning)

Food took 20+ or 30 minutes to arrive, even beverages (The place was empty so I can't see them using the excuse of them being busy) Employees casually singing and chatting loudly, some of them also sitting on customer's dining area playing with their phone.

Food was aight (it was a little cheap so no high expectations). Ordered a supposedly barbecue chicken chop but they served me a sweet and sour chicken instead.

In conclusion, if you don't mind the place's environment for it's cheap prices this might be the place for you. But for me, I'd never ever visit this place...

Terrible attitude and dirty toilet.

I was in the midst of using the toilet and a male staff decided to pull the toilet door to open it. I was so surprised by the action and quickly have to pull up my pant. Furthermore the toilet lock/ latch is in bad condition and the door is broken. So I went out to find out, upon checking the situation I was confronted with the male staff. His only word was "Ada air Ka?" 😳instead of apologizing for his disrupting behaviour.

Very unpleasant experience plus the toilet conditions that is like years left...
