One of the worst dining experiences I had in Miri that I had to write a review about to dissuade people from visiting as long as no changes are made. Firstly, the prices on the menu written is not even the actual price charge so a chicken chop written as RM15.40 came out as RM18.90 whilst a simple Asian dish like chicken curry which originally was RM8.40 turned out to be RM10.90. When we asked the waiter about the prices, they told us that those on the menu were pre-covid price. We know that the prices of raw ingredients are increasing, yet we didn't expect the price to jump up so high that I hope it is how much investment will jump up too. A service charge is also applied to your transactions which is like the cherry on a cake. Atmosphere is just dim. Service by the waitress was the worst as they ignore us most of the time. Food came out only after 2 hours. Food was way too salty. The list goes on.
As a bistro, the least you can do for your customer is to make the proper changes on the menu so that we know exactly what we are paying for. This is daylight robbery (except it was dinner time) with how they charge you prices that is unreasonable for the type of food called. Chicken curry with little to no meat and some small slices of potato doesn't justify the price of RM10.90. The small chicken chop with some french fries and little coleslaw costing RM18.90 has such a high price tag for the portion that does not make me full at all (I have eaten plenty of chicken chop from different restaurant with way larger portions).
Unless they make the proper improvement, please do not visit this restaurant and if you do, prepare to pay a lot for the food that is listed in the menu without the...
Read moreI hope whoever the owner is won’t take this the wrong way yeah. Went back here to eat after so long because I was looking for that ‘nostalgic’ feeling of eating at a legendary place like this. They indeed have upgraded the restaurant and the ambience definitely felt more lively & laidback.
Service wise is okay. Waiter came up once I settled unto my seat and waited on me to order. 👍
The food itself were okay, pizza is crusty and quite tasty if you liked your pizza on a sweeter side (might suit children’s palate more). The price for pizza is reasonable.
So this was the part I wished I was more adamant to getting an answer to. I asked how much was the fish priced per 100g but the waiter might not hear my question so I asked again, once more, no answer. I did order the bbq fish anyways because for the sake of trying the taste and price would probably more or less the same like other places. The bbq was good (salt flavour + addition of sambal) but the price threw me on the floor. Rm45 for a bbq fish for one pax was..unbelievable. The bill didnt even state how many grams the fish was. i know inflation is real but to charge your bbq fish to such a price is 🥹🥹🥹
And the drinks are expensive ya for very diluted milo and teh c..for that price point I’d hoping it was some sort of a kawkaw teh c like other kopitiam in town, it felt like ‘as long as the drink is there lah’ sort of drinks. Maybe can learn from chang man cafe or other eateries even on how to bancuh air😄 this is not to bash ya, I just hope to see improvements...
Read moreWent there 2 days ago. Ordered fried wings, ginger beef rice, curry lamb rice, pepperoni pizza and special fried rice. The dishes were all salty especially the lamb curry. Too salty. We asked one of the waitress to send it back to kitchen to be adjusted. We were told that they will change it to new one. Turns out still very salty. So, as I was at the counter paying for the meals, I reported to the cashier about the salty food. The cashier just smirked, and said, “Pekerja baru.. macam mana lah?” As a regular customer, I feel disappointed with the way the cashier answered me. I paid rm124 for the food, wanting to be serve only the best. And yet I get that kind of treatment. I hope the management will look into this...
