I came to know this cafe through social media xiao hong shu. Before i give it a try, i read reviews on it through xiao hong shu & Google reviews. Having read all the goods & overrated reviews, my expectation was high & I'm really excited to try them up. Well, the higher the expectation, the higher the disappointment.
In short, my honest opinion is "This cafe is just slightly above OK. It's Ok, but now a wow one."
Polo bun with butter - Taste wise, ok but not wow and not the best in town. The NZ butter, just looking at the pictures, i felt scammed.
Bun Bun Bun - Crunchy outside, soft bun inside. With that, the filing inside really doesn't matter. It's 1 of the higher rating food here.
Egg tarts - It's a decent egg tarts. Very crunchy skin. Again, not the best in town. The filing doesn't have that nymmmm, smell good aroma.
Ru Luo Fan - Maybe a change of name? The taste is fine. But if nobody telling me it's called RuLuoFan, I wouldn't said it's a RuLuoFan. It tastes like I'm invited to a friend's house and my friend's mom just cook and serve me her nice homecook.
5)Beverage - Milo is kaw, which is good. The Fu Yun Tea lacks of sweet taste.
Conclusion is, there is room for improvement. I'll come back to try the other foods. Hopefully the next time i go back, all foods are improved!
Also, not sure if the staffs employed are partially blind or what, put my hands up few times but none of them see it or choose not to see it and i have to get my own...
Read moreThe environment was special, cozy and clean. It is always almost full of customers at all times. The waiter and waitress are polite and coordinates well with one another. The tables are properly tidied up and cleaned after a customer has used it. They also understand the special diets of their clients. Price of food is reasonable. Their Portugese tart is a must try. The customer can choose the kuih of their choice except if ordered through Grab. Most of the kuih are delicious. The soft boil eggs are served in a plastic cooker. So the customer decides how well cooked they want their eggs. The prawn and chicken Hor Fun soup (Ipoh style) needs to be improved. The soup is tasty. I think they only use a bit of msg. However the prawns weren't fresh. The chicken drumstick was not properly cooked and tasted like overnight food. The hor fun was overcooked....

Polo Bun with NZ Butter is a must to try! Super crispy on the outside, it’s sweet and savoury. The butter melts in the bun itself and also in your mouth.
Their Nasi Lemak is nice as well. Would recommend to try it out. It comes with different varieties, such as Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak, Fried Pork Nasi Lemak and others!
There’s more for you to try it out. Just come and try it out yourself. The place is Insta worthy as well. Every corner is decorated with nostalgic stuff and childhood candies.
Can come during weekdays to avoid...
