Fav cafe in Kuching (or maybe, the country even, aside from Utoo cafe in Penang) that I always enjoy visiting.
I've been obsessed with one drink - Salty Lemon Waves 🔛🔝 Please try 🙏🏼
Thought it was just a regular iced lemon coffee, turns out to be a beautifully flavored mocktail coffee. I love every sip of it for the bold flavors - salty, sour, sweet & coffee-bitter. The sips get fun as they add dried citrus peel in the drink. As someone who enjoys air asamboi, Gongcha plum green tea & lemon/orange coffee, this drink is honestly my top #1. At RM15, a price that my girl math thinks is worth every sip 😂 My fav way of enjoying it is slow sips & just enjoying each flavor I find.
I also tried their iced americano, and requested add hazelnut syrup less sweet. It was soft roasty nice, maybe as good as FamilyMart iced hazelnut latte?
Another value of this cafe is the ever welcoming, polite, feedback-asking cafe crews 🫡🫡 First visit, the softspoken cashier explained to me their menu and their leader assisted me even when she was busy. Then onwards, I return & get greeted with consistent kindness & comfort.
I recommend the cafe for anyone solo or on dates or in groups. It is a rather small space, but cozy & peaceful enough for chilling & enjoying your drinks/desserts. If not mistaken there is one private room for a group of maybe 6? The waiting time is not really for a quick grab & go orders, as I think they have a steady turnover of customers. For people who loves self reward & documenting it, please go here haha. The desserts are too pretty to the littlest detail 👌
Today I told them a secret & as I was about to leave, the barista gifted me her fav instant choc drink & the cashier gifted me a lemon cheese tart slice, and then some onion attacked my eyes idk why ohh 🤔🫶🏼

Read moreIf heaven had a taste, it would definitely be these tarts! 😍 From the moment I laid eyes on these little pieces of edible art, I knew my taste buds were in for a treat. Each tart is a mini masterpiece, bursting with flavor and joy.
The strawberry ones are like a burst of summer in your mouth – juicy, fresh, and perfectly sweet. The matcha tarts are a delightful balance of earthy and creamy, topped with the cutest little flowers that make you feel like you're biting into a garden. And those mango tarts? Pure sunshine! They’re so fresh and vibrant, they practically dance on your tongue.
But wait, there’s more! The taro tarts are like a tropical vacation in a bite – creamy, smooth, and utterly irresistible. And the caramel chocolate tarts? Decadence personified. The banana is fresh silky and rich, while the chocolate is the perfect counterbalance with just the right amount of bitterness.
These tarts are not just desserts; they’re experiences. Each bite takes you on a flavor journey that you’ll want to relive over and over again. Kudos to Roots Bliss for creating such fantastic, unique, and absolutely scrumptious treats.
10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to indulge their sweet tooth in the most delightful way possible. Roots Bliss has truly outdone themselves with these fantastic treats. And a special shoutout to the lovely Joycelyn who was kind enough to accept my last-minute order.
Treat yourself to these tarts – your taste buds...

We got two drinks, which I think took a bit longer to arrive. They were nice to give us plain water beforehand though.
Strawberry smoothie was meant to be shared, hence it coming in two glasses. My friend said the strawberry was a bit sour, while I like the matcha cream they circled around the glass.
The cinnamon apple tea was rather bland on its own but it had a nice after taste. They said the apple pieces underneath were homemade and they were actually pretty nice. Quite a lot of apple pieces too.
Really like the fireplace, which made me feel like I was overseas somewhere enjoying winter.
They have a habit of asking everyone how their orders were so that was nice to see they always...
