Complaint Regarding Ice Cream Quality and Pricing at Sushi King, Matang
Dear Sushi King Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent changes to the ice cream served at your restaurant. Ice cream has always been my all-time favorite treat whenever I visit Sushi King. However, during my recent visit on July 10, 2024, I noticed several significant downgrades that have greatly affected my dining experience.
Previously, the ice cream was served in a tall cup, which added to the overall presentation and enjoyment of the dessert. However, starting this month, it is now served in a bowl, which I find to be a much less appealing presentation. This change has, unfortunately, made the dessert a disappointment.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the ice cream recipe included delicious red beans at the bottom, which provided a wonderful contrast to the matcha flavor and enhanced the overall experience. The anko (red bean paste) added a unique and authentic Japanese touch that reminded me of my travels in Japan. This delightful combination is no longer part of the dessert, and the absence of whipped cream and anko has significantly diminished the quality of the ice cream.
Here is my feedback on the current ice cream: Taste: Still acceptable. Portion: Inadequate. Presentation: Poor. Satisfaction: Unsatisfactory due to the missing whipped cream and anko. Price: Not worth the cost for the current portion size and quality.
I urge Sushi King to reconsider these changes and bring back the previous recipe and presentation that made your ice cream so special. The current version is not only less enjoyable but also not worth the increased price.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements during my next visit.
Sincerely, Nur...
Read morewhile i generally appreciate SK for the convenience of its conveyor belt sushi, this experience was exceptionally poor. upon arrival, the conveyor belt was stationary and empty, which i initially assumed was a temporary malfunction. consequently, i placed a manual order. but unfortunately, after waiting for over an hour, only green tea and two of the nine sushi plates we ordered (iidako and ebiko) were served. the remaining seven plates never arrived.
this isn't the first time i've encountered issues at this branch; a previous visit also involved subpar service, which i had hoped was an isolated incident. however, this recent experience suggests a consistent problem with their service standards. it would have been preferable if the staff had communicated any difficulties in fulfilling orders rather than leaving us waiting indefinitely. not only that, the excessive noise of clanking plates from the kitchen, audible throughout the restaurant, is a distinct issue at this outlet that i haven't observed at other SK locations.
this might be a one-off experience to some, but please serve your customer well next time. people come to eat good food but what we get was sour hour, not happy...
Read moreThis is my first time eating here and will be my last. Overall, the food are delicious, the waiting time of the food is a bit too long. To be honest, I have no issues with the food here. However, there is one thing that has been bugging me while I was there. THE DOUBLE STANDARD. The staffs there are not friendly at all. We request a table for 3 but it already full so we had to seperate. Then, there is an empty table for customers more than 2 so we request to sit there, the staff agreed. After that, I saw 2 customers come in and they SAT AT THE TABLE FOR MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE!! The staff didnt even bother to let them sit at the table that is for 2 PEOPLE. EVEN WORST, a family came in that is more than 2 people. Guess where they sit?????? THE WAITER LET THEM SIT AT THE TABLE THAT IS FOR 2 PEOPLEEEEEEEEE!!! What up with the unfair treatment huh???!?!?!?! BILA DH RAMI GILAK ORG NE TUJU SOP SIS/BRO?????!!!?!?The cashier is not even friendly to us. I feel offended the whole time I was there.
