New resto located inside Penang Heritage Club, Penang. We are back for more for great food and service. Luncheon in nice chic ambience & heritage. Premium quality but still reasonable price. Nice plating and art on plate. Highly recommended. This time we tried: ALA CARTE: 🔷 53C Slow Cook Chicken Breast; so tasty and succulent, side dishes is healthy salad and nice plating 🔷 Duck L’Orange; succulent meat, sous vide cooked, nice condiments 🔷 Gambas; tiger prawn with nice sauce and condiments too DEGUSTATION SET LUNCH: Comes with Caesar Salad, Pumpkin Soup and Panacota as dessert. Main course choices: ⭐️ Himalayan Salt Dry Aged Beef; medium rare cooked, quite big size, side dishes is good too ⭐️ Grill Salmon; well marinated and cooked perfectly, crispy skin and succulent fresh Norwegian salmon. Nice purée sauce.

It was a great dining experience in Bón. There’s a la carte and course options to choose from and we go for the a la carte menu. The food was delicious and it’s being served with quality. Among what I’ve tried out, the sourdough bread, wild Andaman prawn and dry aged Angus beef (rib-eye) are my favourites. We had a vegetarian guest joining us and they do serve vegetarian dishes that wasn’t in the menu (but need to WhatsApp and check with the availability prior visit, as we do pre-ordered it). We arranged a birthday dessert with Bón for our birthday guest (arranged on WhatsApp), and it’s very nicely plated and tastes good too. Definitely looking forward to visit again and try out the other dishes. Car parks are available in the Heritage Club. The restaurant is located inside the Heritage Club.

Excellent dining experience! I would thoroughly recommend it. Started my four course meal with the charcoal sourdough and Marchand De Vin (French for “wine merchant”) butter. Followed by the Hokkaido scallop tartare. It was delish, rich in flavour and very generous portion. Main course was the 21 Days dry aged grain fed Angus sirloin which is the highlight. Doneness was controlled very well with nice medium rare inside. We finished off with the beautiful white chocolate basil mousse with strawberry coulis and red velvet crumble, surprisingly not too sweet which is a plus point. First restaurant in Penang to offer dry aged meat! The ambiance is perfect. Amazing wine selection with very good pricing. The staff were very attentive and very helpful. Definitely will return again.

I booked a table for two days ahead of our visit. After the spa session at the adjacent De Villa Spa, we popped in a bit early at 5.30pm.

Throughout our meal we were the only occupied table. Despite this, the staff made numerous errors in our order. A starter of scallops had to be switched for oysters as “there were not enough scallops”. We agreed to the change but they only served one serving of oysters and the scallops was still on the bill, and had to be deleted.

Our bread basket was served warm but the fresh garlic herbs butter was frozen. It should have been warmed up before serving, a matter of seconds especially when the kitchen could not have been busy.

For mains, we ordered the 7-days aged duck and the beef bourguignon. They served us two plates of the beef and we had to send one back. Bear in mind, we were the only occupied table n the restaurant. I don’t understand how they could have gotten this wrong.

To their credit my plate of beef was delicious and very tender. However the duck, which took another 15 minutes to arrive, was very tough and felt overcooked; my wife could not finish it. I wonder if that is what ‘7-days aged duck’ was supposed to be.

We left very disappointed, and didn’t bother with any photos. This experience is not...

Old school ambience. Good for quiet dinners. Ordered the degustation menu with additional course. 1) oyster is not impressive. Did not hv the freshness of the sea. 2) prawn cocktail - prawns had sweetness of the sea. Asparagus overcooked. Sauce nothing to rave abt. Average dish. 3) scallop- seared perfectly, mashed potato is smooth and goes well with the ebiko. Nice. 4) foie gras - very well done and top quality. Goes well with the green grapes and strawberries. Sauce a little too sweet 5) sorbet - too sweet. A bit weird to hv dessert begore the main course. If the purpose is to freshen the tastebuds then it needs to be more tangy. 6) 21day aged steak - taste ok but i am disappointed. Ordered rare but served medium rare. Sauce salty. Lacks the unami of aged steak. The one i had at Emily steakhouse was better. 7) dessert - too sweet and it was not fully defrost, making it difficult to eat with a spoon. Will i return? I...
