This is a vegetarian cafeteria belong to pure Lotus hospice center.
A lot of the photos from the Google map profile for this place are from the previous menu. They no longer offer that, now it's more of a 'no need to wait so long' food.
It's opened to public, and I am fortunate enough to have visited this place during the nine emperors festival. On top of the usual vegetarian economy rice stall, they also have other stalls selling a lot more variety of food. Got koay teow soup, nasi ulam, tong shui, chai kuih, and etc...
At lunch time, this cafe is usually packed with people. I got to know that most of the people who work there are volunteers, they put up a smile and greet everyone who arrives at the cafe. I took a plate of rice with 4 dishes. Cost only rm8. There is a 10% discount for Penang hospital staff. How nice of them. The dishes are delicious. I am impressed how they are able to make some of the food to have a close resemblance of the non-vege counterpart. Hahahahah. The soy 'pork belly' even has the 3 'layers', it's indeed a feast for the eyes, a pleasure for the taste buds.
Parking can be challenging at this area. The house next door (also belongs to pure lotus) allows parking for in-house guests.
