We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Pharm Hut, and I must say it was an incredible experience! This cozy little spot is an absolute haven for those seeking healthy and delicious treats, and it's a must-visit for anyone interested in fermentation and its benefits.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Kefir Water. The Pharm Hut offers an amazing selection of this probiotic-rich beverage, with a variety of flavors available. Each sip was a burst of refreshing goodness, and we could feel the positive impact it had on our digestive systems.

Patti, the owner, truly knows her stuff when it comes to fermentation and was more than happy to share her knowledge and expertise.

I was wondering and enjoying the ancient architecture of George Town Penang Malaysia, seeking out delightful vegan treats and which cafes offer vegan options when I stumbled on The Pharm Hut. What a pleasant surprise, first and foremost the detail to a very high standard of cleanness, no dust at all, purest type hygiene standards, remarkable after all my years of being a digital nomad and visited so many cafes world wide, this one stood out right away on that level. I have to say, to receive such a sincere warm hearted welcome by the lady owner " Patie " opened me to feel relaxed and showed me her attention to personnel focused service. Patie then began to educate me on the benefits of Kefir , her own signature fermentation range, of handmade fermented drinks, most beneficial to ones health. I was kindly given a shot glass (* reminiscent of my youth, memories of those alcohol shots ;-). But these shots beneficial, tigglying to ones palate. One can slowly, taste the various fruits, the indulgent flavours, before your stomach begins to thank you for such a comforting drink. I have since become a regular and enjoy her hummus, various herbal sources, hand made peanut butter and her bread, oh wow, fresh and sugar free. This George Town shop is best known for their Kefir sodas (the dragonfruit is the standout), but if you go to the shop you will see they have many other excellent creations. For retail products, they offer kefir milks, kefir yogurts, kefir sangria (our favorite for those who drink alcohol), nut butters and spreads, loaves of bread, house made soaps, and other healthy foods from local purveyors.
